PICTURE IT WELL: reframe your plateaus

I’m no stranger to life plateaus. Particularly when it comes to my writing. It’s when I run out of creative ideas and just can’t get inspired.

But I have finally figured out that I’m better off to take a well-earned break and be good with how far I’ve come, instead of feeling stuck.

This helps me shift into a positive mindset, which can be the start of positive change, and more growth opportunities.

Jenny Blake, author of Pivot: The Only Move That Matters is Your Next One, says to let a plateau be a sign of success. It’s a great way to become more creative. Ask yourself what excites you most moving forward. Let your plateau push you into exploring new possibilities.

So whether you are stuck in your career, fitness routine, spiritual practice, or even your daily life (think rut), give yourself a break. Then, see this as an opporunity to learn something new, take a new direction, or develop new strategies.

As for me, I live for new possibilities!
